Our Story
The NET Work Spot was a space our founder and CEO, Carmen Tapio, initially created as a project management workspace. Carmen immediately realized its value to the community. Our Founder
To date, North End Teleservices has had an economic impact of over $216.7-million-dollars’ on the local economy. Carmen is the founder of Nebraska Black Women United, LLC (NBWU), a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing education, inspiration, and access to a network of over 800 black women within our state. The goal of NBWU is to help advance the lives and careers of their members. Mrs. Tapio is also founder of Forever North Real Estate, LLC which is making the largest private investment ever in the North Omaha community to include 100,000 square feet of mixed use commercial and retail space, apartments, single-family homes, childcare foodservice and green space. Both she and her businesses have received numerous accolades for growth, leadership, culture, ethics, and excellence including USA Today Woman of the Year Nebraska Honoree, Induction into the Omaha Business Hall of Fame, a 2021 Enterprising Woman of the Year, BBB Torch Award for Ethics, the NCNW Legacy Award for Economic Empowerment, The Urban League of Nebraska African American Leadership Award, ICAN Leadership Award, 100 Black Woman Legacy Award Honoree, and the WCA Tribute to Women Honoree Mrs. Tapio does much for the community and is a business thought leader serving on a variety of foundations and non-profit and public boards, including Chair of Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, Werner Enterprises board also serving as Chair of the ESG Committee, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch Board of Directors. Carmen is a Peter Kiewit Foundation Trustee, serves on the CHI Immanuel Community Advisor Board of Directors, serves on the Omaha Public Schools Superintendent Advisory Committee, and an Advisory Board Member for Habitat for Humanity Omaha. Mrs. Tapio was recently appointed to the Omaha Zoological Society Board of Directors.

Our Lead Concierge
Tricia Shoals came out of retirement to join the team as Lead Concierge for the NET Work Spot in 2022. Her decades of experience in the hospitality industry and caring nature bring unique insight and critical perspective to the team. When Tricia is not spending her days at the NET Work Spot, you can find her at home playing with her grandson Xander and beloved dog, Shanky.
House Rules
You must be 19 years of age or older to rent any space at The NET Work Spot.
We are a smoke-free facility. This includes vaping. We ask that all guests and clients smoke outside and away from the front entrance of The NET Work Spot.
The NET Work Spot is not liable for any items lost or stolen. If any items are left by a client, it will be held for a maximum of fifteen (15)days. Anyone making a request for a lost item must present government-issued photo identification and a description of the item before it will be returned.
Guests will be charged a fee for lost keys. Clients are also liable for any damage caused by them or their guests in the business center with your permission or invitation.
No outside food or meals are allowed. Small, non-perishable snacks or non-alcoholic drinks are permitted in a spill-proof container.
Do not put your feet or shoes on the furniture or furnishings.
Do not move, or alter any décor at the NET Work Spot.
Please be mindful of other guests and practice good hygiene by washing your hands.
Client's are prohibited from carrying a concealed weapon on The NET Work Spot premises. This includes, but is not limited to: guns, knives, or swords, explosives, and any chemical whose purpose is to cause harm to another person.
